the most recent children of blah! project was an exhibition by i.k.bonset&friends



it all began when the 60 year old mailboxes in i.k.bonset's apartment block in wagga wagga were replaced with spiffy new plywood ones - residents would have looked many thousands of times through the little glass window with expectation trepidation etc and opened the little doors with trembling hands to retrieve cheques, bills, love letters, death and birth notices

i.k.bonset was there to save the little doors from an inglorious end at the wagga tip and over subsequent weeks 21 artists received one of the doors in the mail with an invitation to make two very small works - one to fit into the window and the other into the name plate on the front of the door - most of the works were returned by mail (eventually...) and shown at the hr gallop gallery school of visual and performing arts charles sturt university wagga wagga nsw australia from 15-19 july 1996 - as there were many newcastle artists involved the plan is to show the works in newcastle (real soon now :-)
