i have been looking into doubt for some ten years. it started when i was doing my phd and i was full of doubt most of the time. i registered the url doubt.org and started harassing people to make something on the theme of doubt which i could put there. i lost the url but the site still exists at joh.net/doubt and features works by ryszard dabek, dan zero, mark hinderaker, minus eleven error, i.j.oog, simone paterson, raimond de weerdt, michael buckley and others.
when i met anna poletti in 2006 we discovered that we were both full of doubt and started doubt2.org - an experimental online space for critical and creative writing and research in the form of a wiki. (now offline)
the next stage of the project is a special issue of the journal m/c which poletti and i will be co-editing. a call for papers will be published sometime in the second half of 2010 (a link will appear here) with full papers due by the end of january 2011. the doubt issue of m/c will be launched in march 2011.
